Clothing with Heart

Welcome to Itsy Bitsy Hearts, an Organic clothing line for infants, toddlers and young children.  Our designs are destined to spread positive messages to anyone they encounter, all while raising money for children that need love and help. Designer clothing with a purpose…what could be a better gift for our children and the world’s children?

Itsy Bitsy Hearts is a new children’s organic clothing line that has partnered with the Heart Gallery of America in an effort to provide public awareness of the need for adoptive families. Itsy Bitsy Hearts has agreed to donate 20% of profits to support the Heart Galleries mission of finding “Forever Families” for the thousands of foster children hoping to join a permanent home.

On any given day, 500,000 children live in foster care due to abuse and neglect, and over 100,000 of them can never return home to their biological families. Nineteen thousand children “age out” each year without being adopted; they have nobody to turn to with their joys and heartaches when they head out into the world, alone. “Waiting children” is the term used to describe children waiting for a family to adopt them. The Heart Gallery utilizes the volunteered time of professional photographers to capture the individuality and dignity of children living in foster care in hopes of finding families for “waiting children”.

The vast majority of states now have Heart Galleries, and many have more than one. Families are moved by the beauty and uniqueness of each child as revealed in the portraits. As a direct result, many children have been adopted. The professional photographers present the children in a way that a description alone never could!

table_tentsKelly Kucera, the Founder of Itsy Bitsy Hearts clothing line is an adopted child herself and credits the support of her amazing adoptive family to the successes she has enjoyed, such as being crowned Miss Colorado 2001 and spending her year of service helping people in the adoption arena. “Children need to be loved in order to thrive and every child deserves the Peace of knowing they belong to a family,” said Kucera. “This is my way of giving back and helping other children find the love that I had.” She couldn’t find hip organic clothes for her son and started the business when she couldn’t find a black onesie in any store.

Itsy Bitsy Hearts clothing pieces are made out of 100% organic cotton and all contain a hang tag with pictures of children and information on the Heart Gallery. Consumers can even send their tags back to Itsy Bitsy Hearts to give another $1.00 to the cause.  The organic clothing line launched January 1st, 2009 with 14 designs, three of which are geared toward adoption. We now have 47 designs and are in boutiques across the US.
